The Discipline That Goes With It

In every area or aspect of human activity, there is always discipline as a guiding principle to achieve success. Even in fitness, discipline is a concept that is practiced by the top athletes and competitors around the world, and it is the most feared word of the lazy people with a lot of excuses just to avoid sweating out and pumping up their muscles.

“No pain, no gain!” Indeed it is true. You go on a basic 30-minute aerobic class for the first time, and you will fell that the air is running out even before you reach half-way of the session. You lift weights in the gym for the first time, and muscles will get stiff and you feel body pain for more than 2 weeks. You take a jogging outside and you might get dehydrated by the heat of the sun.

All these pain, and yet you NEED to do it again within the week at least, is something your mind has to wrestle with and convince your body to go back. So you see, staying fit is not just a brawn aspect, but a brain aspect as well.

Developing your mind, staying in focus, pumping the proper motivation all lands upon discipline. Without discipline, you cannot even go back to the gym, wake up and sleep early, avoid drinking too much, avoid oily and junk foods, and even finish your exercise program for the day. But with discipline, you will go an extra mile, conquer summits, finish races, win sports competitions, and attain the state of body that you've always wanted.
